Dancing Christmas Trees

We had a lot of fun in Minnesota over the Thanksgiving week. The kids enjoyed the drive on Wednesday night, which is a good sign for future family road trip vacations. We enjoyed celebrating with both sides of the family on Thanksgiving. M.G. played her first game of Pictionary with the grown-ups and I was surprised that she didn't get too nervous. A couple of her words were "chair" and "wagon-wheel."

We had a lot of fun hanging out with both sets of Grandparents, Uncle Dave, Aunt Nissa, and a variety of other relatives over the 4 day weekend. Friday night we went to the Holidazzle parade and the kids loved it! M2 kept saying, "More coming?"
Saturday was Cinderlla at the Children's Theater. M.G. was enthralled and I don't think she moved at all during the first half of the play. In this show the step-sisters are really over the top and I think it was almost too much for her, but the traditional princess parts were more than enough to keep her interested.

The kids were so well behaved all weekend and they are both at fun ages for these family parties. They both seem really over-tired now and our house is still a big mess of boxes... but we're looking forward to birthdays and Christmas in the weeks ahead.

I'm so far behind on cards, gifts, and all of that! I was just thinking today that I hadn't tortured them by trying to get a good photo for the cards yet this year.

Sounds like a great time! How wonderful they both loved the Holidazzle! We went last year and I want to go again, but it's always such a hassle to get downtown and park, etc. I love MG's haircut, by the way! :)
