Day 11 - we're on our own!

My parents went home last night and the kids now outnumber the adults in the Monkey Household. It's been a lot of fun to have all of the help and company in the last few weeks. I think the older kids will have some trouble adjusting, since we've basically had at least 1 grandparent here since the last weekend in May. (Except for about 36 hours in there last week.) This morning M2 was asking where Grandpa was and if Uncle Dave would arrive soon.

I liked having the first two kids in the winter so that I could just hibernate for a while when they were newborns. But, this time around I'm looking forward to a lot of company and a few trips to MN to give the older kids some excitement.

M.G. is enrolled in several summer rec programs and that gives us some structure to the week. I haven't taken her to any classes yet, since they started the 7th, but next week plan to take over that job. Right now Papa took M2 to run around the park while M.G. is at her soccer class.

She takes soccer twice a week for a 3 week session and is also taking swimming lessons twice a week for this session. When this session is over she'll have tennis class 4 days a week for 3 weeks. In August she'll have another session of swimming. She's also taking a dance class that meets once a week for 6 weeks.

So far swimming is her favorite. After some nerves the first week, she seems to be really excited to be in the water. She even dunked her head once already, which I thought might be something she'd be afraid to try.
