Almost 3

Home from the range.

A friend of mine follows the Jewish custom of giving her sons their first haircuts on their 3rd birthday. It's a big milestone and she described it as representing another step the child takes to independence.

We've given M2 several haircuts now. But, I've been thinking of my friend's tradition a lot lately. He's becoming all boy now and transitioning away from his toddler-hood.

Papa gave M2 a trim over the weekend in preparation for Thanksgiving and his birthday. And there, afterward, practically 3.

Can you believe it?! He can't be three yet. I was blown away when we started getting information about when George turns three that we can set up preschool screening. It has just flown by.
