Second August weekend to MN

M.G. enjoyed her week in MN and it flew by for us.  I had wanted to do some fun things with the younger two, but they spent most of their time happily playing together!  They pretended to go camping, played with trucks, read books together, and just kept themselves busy.  They also took every opportunity to tell random people we saw, like the car salesman or museum employee, that they had an older sister who was in Minnesota with their Grandparents.

Friday afternoon we all drove over to pick her up at Grandma and Grandpa M's house and spend the weekend.  There were lots of hugs all around when we arrived.

Saturday morning we checked out a new park in the Twin Cities, the Tamarack Nature Center.  The kids really enjoyed playing in the man-made stream, in the sand area, and on the man-made cliff.  I think they could have stayed all day!

M3 spent a really long time splashing in this water while M.G. and M2 explored the stream.

Eventually they all started working together to build a stream.
On our way out of the park we stopped to hear a nature talk about an owl, a highlight for M2.

It was a chilly weekend, but the kids still had fun playing outside at Grandma and Grandpa's house while we were there.

M.G was pretty excited to be home Sunday night and M2 and M3 were glad to have her!
