Matthew's first week at home

It's amazing how much Matthew has changed in his first week at home.  For the first few days of his life he usually looked like this...
Kind of surprised and disgruntled.  It always seemed to me like he was wondering what in the world he'd gotten himself into by being born.
1st sponge bath in the baby tub!
A serious look usually lingered when that first surprised look left his face.

But in the last couple days he's started to spend a lot less time looking worried.   He has been awake for much longer stretches and will look at all of us as we talk and sing to him.  He's fairly content, but really can scream if he wants to eat and we are too slow for him.

He likes to look at the other kids.  M.G. likes to sing to him when she gets home from school each day.

M3 likes to rub her cheek to his and still can't stop saying, "He's so cute!"  (Although with her lack of consonants it is more like, "Eee ooo ute!")

He had his first check-up with his doctor on Thursday.  He has been nursing like a champ and weighed in at 9 lbs, 12 oz!  He was nice and healthy.  Still breathing a little fast, but the doctor thinks we can continue to wait and see.  If we do not see an improvement in 3-4 weeks he'll recommend we see a pulmonologist just to be on the safe side.
