M2 is 5!

Joe turned 5 on December 10th!  We had both sets of grandparents in town to celebrate on the Saturday before.  He really wanted a winter themed cake and was very excited to see a small bit of snow fall on Friday.  He was happy to help shovel for a bit and he had both Grandpas helping build a snowman.

Grandma and Grandpa M gave him a Big Wheel.  He drove it from the front door to the garage, just to test it out.

Snow cake!

Monday morning M2 opened his gifts from us and had birthday cinnamon rolls.

M2 has been spending a lot of time this week building with the Trio and Lego sets he got.  He's good at figuring out the directions.
We gave him a small marble run that was pretty flimsy, so with much sadness from M2 we sent it back and ordered a better one.  It arrived today and he had a 1000 Watt smile when he pulled it out of the box.  So glad it ended up working out.  He and I had a lot of fun playing with it this afternoon.

M2 seems to always be full of energy and ready for action.  We're looking forward to seeing him dive into this year.
