We had a relaxing move into the new year. We drove back home from Minnesota on the 31st. We made it home in time to unpack the car and head to church. After that we picked up a Papa Murphy's pizza and some basic supplies; like milk, sparkling cider, and party hats.
We had a very late supper, played some board games, bathed the kids, and had a little count down. They stayed up until close to 10 PM.
We had a lazy New Year's Day - staying close to home and playing with new toys. The kids stayed in jammies most of the day, except for when they helped Papa shovel. We fixed up a bit of a feast using what we could find around the house, since we hadn't gotten groceries yet. But it was a really nice family day and a good start to the year.
After wearing jammies all day the kids changed into their new Christmas jammies and slipper socks for bed. They love that the boys and girls each match each other.
